Job summary

Rincon Consultants is seeking qualified Archaeological Field Technicians to provide as-needed support for projects throughout California. This role involves assisting project managers and performing site evaluations.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in archaeology, one year of field experience, and strong decision-making abilities. The position is located in San Luis Obispo and offers flexible field rotation work with a pay range of $24.00–$37.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1 year of professional experience in identifying and documenting cultural resources.
• Ability to hike 10-12 miles daily in difficult terrain.
• Familiarity with California cultural resources and CEQA/NHPA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in archaeological tasks including survey and site recording.
• Prepare field forms and site records.
• Work closely with cultural resources staff and clients.

GPS data collection (Trimble/Garmin)
