Job summary

Addus HomeCare in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a reliable caregiver to support clients at home with dignity and compassion. This role focuses on personal care, companionship, meal prep, and basic housekeeping to help clients live independently.

You'll work with clients and families to create a safe, respectful routine, monitor well-being, and encourage daily activities. Training is provided, and pay ranges competitively with experience.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiving experience (professional or personal)
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with safe body mechanics

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Support mobility and ensure a safe environment
• Help with medication reminders and daily routines

What We’re Looking For:

• A positive, patient, and dependable individual
• Prior caregiving experience (professional or personal preferred)
• Current TB and clean background check
• Able to safely lift, turn and transfer weight up to 50 pounds
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
