Job summary

Mercer University is seeking ARC Supplemental Instruction Leaders to support students in various science and business courses. SI leaders will attend classes, run one-hour study sessions three times weekly, and help students develop structured study plans in collaboration with professors and the Academic Resource Center.

Successful applicants must be sophomores or higher, have earned an A or B+ in the subject, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and obtain department faculty approval or recommendation.

Qualifications

  • Must have earned an A or B+ in the subject of the class.
  • Recommendation or approval from department faculty is required.

Responsibilities

  • Attend assigned class and conduct one-hour study sessions three times weekly.
  • Develop study plans and work closely with the professor and supervisor.
  • Attend training workshops and participate in SI leader activities.
  • Support listed courses: BIO 171, 172, 280; CHM 111, 112, 221, 222; PHY 141, 142, 161, 162; ACC 204, 205, ECN 150, 151; FIN 362.

Looking for SI leaders for the following classes: BIO 171, 172, 280; CHM 111, 112, 221, 222; PHY 141, 142, 161, 162; ACC 204, 205, ECN 150, 151; FIN 362.

Requirements:

Must be sophomore or higher classification; must have earned an A or B+ in the subject; must have a minimum 3.0 GPA; must receive recommendation or approval from department faculty

Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour
