Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking an Arborist Trainee intern for Summer 2027 in Omaha, NE. This temporary, full-time position offers hands-on field experience in tree care, health care, sales and client services with a $22.00 hourly rate.

Responsibilities include learning climbing techniques, pruning and removal, installing support systems, and operating equipment. Preferred candidates have forestry/horticulture backgrounds and are willing to complete required safety courses.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

The Davey Tree Expert Company is looking for exceptional students who are interested in expanding their field experience in the areas of Tree Care, Plant Health Care, Sales and Client Services.

STARTING DATE:

Flexible - We are currently seeking internship candidates for Summer 2027. This is a temporary, full-time position ideal for college students on summer break who want to gain hands‐on experience in the field.

Rate of pay: $22.00 hourly

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:
