Job summary

Lucas Tree Experts seeks Arborist Trainee / Climber in Portland, ME. No experience required; on-the-job training is provided to learn felling, climbing, rigging, and equipment use. This is a full-time outdoor role with path to licensing and career advancement.

Expect 45-hour weeks, safety-focused work culture, and company-supported training with wage increases as licenses/certifications are earned. A CDL may be pursued as you grow in the role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Willingness to learn all aspects of tree care.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Manually remove vegetation from work areas and perform line clearance tasks.
• Safely operate forestry equipment (skidders, mowers, chainsaws, ATVs) as trained.
• Assist with pruning, removals, and general tree care duties.
