Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking an Arborist for the Baylor University site in Waco, TX. The role focuses on tree and landscape maintenance, pruning, cabling, and safety-compliant operations in the southwest United States.

Responsibilities include maintaining health records, coordinating with clients, and supervising arborist staff. The position requires strong maintenance planning, diagnostic skills, and the ability to manage logs, equipment, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture or related field (preferred, not required).
• ISA Arborist Certification (desired, not required).
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and communicate effectively with clients and team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee and perform tree maintenance operations.
• Monitor labor hours and material purchases; support grounds manager.
• Perform personnel reviews for arborist staff.
• Conduct routine grounds and tree maintenance inspections.
• Maintain preventive maintenance for grounds equipment and tools.
• Log daily issues and progress; maintain safety records and training.

Education
