Business Resources One in Pittsburgh, PA seeks an Experienced Arborist Ground Technician to provide expert ground support for climbers and aerial lift operators during complex tree removals and pruning. You will manage rigging, operate essential equipment, and help maintain safe work zones while ensuring high-quality jobsite execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years as part of a tree care crew.
• Knowledge of tree structure and weight distribution for rigging.
• Ability to operate chainsaws, wood chippers and related equipment in outdoor environments.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Willingness to obtain CDL, ISA Certified Tree Worker, or TCIA Ground Technician certification (highly preferred).
• Commitment to safety-first culture and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide vital ground support for climbers and aerial lift operators during complex removals and pruning operations.
• Manage ropes, rigging equipment, and lowering devices to control heavy limb descent.
• Operate and maintain tree care equipment such as chainsaws, wood chippers, stump grinders, and mini skid steers.
• Establish and maintain safe work zones by anticipating overhead hazards and directing crew safety.
• Process brush and wood efficiently; keep jobsites clean and organized.
• Assist with basic equipment maintenance and daily tool inspections.
