Job summary

Distinctive Tree Care is seeking a Groundman to support arborist crews with rope management, limb lowering, and debris handling on tree removal and maintenance jobs. The role emphasizes safety, equipment handling, and teamwork on the ground.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in tree services, a valid driver's license (CDL preferred), and the stamina for 10‑hour days; overtime opportunities exist, especially during storms.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of tree service experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Ability to work 10-hour days and possibly up to 16 hours during storm-related jobs.

Responsibilities

• Assist climbing arborists and bucket operators by managing ropes and lowering branches.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE per OSHA standards.
• Handle and dispose of tree debris according to company procedures.
• Manage and organize tools and materials for service operations.
• Keep work areas safe and clear of obstacles; ensure crew safety.
• Assist with site preparation, including setting up cones and warning signs.
