The Davey Tree Expert Company in Mashpee, MA is seeking a Crew Leader Trainee to join our outdoor team. You will lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for clients and gain hands-on experience with climbing systems and safety processes.

This permanent, full-time role offers career development through the Davey program, competitive hourly pay, benefits, and an employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Outdoor work enthusiasm required.
• Complete Davey Tree Orientation Program on hire.
• Complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Pesticide licenses and related certifications preferred.
• ISA Arborist/Tree Worker/TCIA Tree Care Safety Professional certifications preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead a crew in arboricultural care for clients.
• Oversee jobsite safety, plan, equipment and HOPE process.
• Prune, thin and remove deadwood in tree canopies.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
• Maintain and operate tools/equipment including chainsaws and chippers.

Compensation

$32-$38 Hourly (Based on experience and certifications)

Job Duties

What You'll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Safely and productively lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for our clients.
• Including but not limited to:
  • Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E) process
  • Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
  • Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
  • Removal of hazardous trees
  • Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
  • Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

Qualifications

What We're Looking for:

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Valid Driver's License required
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist ®, ISA Certified Tree Worker ®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional ®
