Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts in Nashville is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader to lead a tree care crew and perform all services safely and efficiently. You will guide pruning, cabling/bracing, rigging, removals, and equipment operation while fostering teamwork and client relationships.

The position requires 3+ years of tree climbing, a valid Driver's license (Class B CDL preferred), and the ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) experience.
• Proven ability to supervise tree care work safely.
• Strong communication with clients and team.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform and supervise all arboriculture tasks (pruning, cabling, bracing).
• Oversee removals and proper operation of equipment (tools, chainsaws, chippers, lifts).
• Lead and motivate the crew, ensuring quality and safety standards.
• Train crew members for each job assignment and site.
• Communicate with clients and build relationships on site.

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including
  • Pruning
  • Cabling and bracing
  • Rigging
  • Removals
  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
