Bartlett Tree Experts in State College, PA is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader to head the tree care crew and perform tasks safely and efficiently. Lead the team, ensure quality work, and mentor colleagues while maintaining client relationships. Must have extensive climbing and aerial lift experience; CDL preferred. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• At least three years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid driver’s license; Class B CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all arboriculture tasks including pruning, cabling and bracing, rigging, and removals.
• Operate and maintain equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Supervise and manage crews, ensuring training and adherence to standards.
• Communicate with clients and build relationships while on site.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including
  • Pruning

  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
