Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader to head a tree care crew, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of services. You will supervise pruning, cabling, rigging, and removals while mentoring crew members.

Must have 3+ years of climbing experience and a valid driver’s license; CDL preferred. This is a full-time, on-site role in Bolingbrook, IL with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid driver’s license; Class B CDL preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather.
• Experience supervising arborist crews and delivering safety-focused work.
• Commitment to Bartlett standards and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform and supervise all arboriculture tasks (pruning, cabling, bracing, rigging, removals).
• Maintain and operate equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Supervise crews and ensure proper training for each job assignment.

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including
  • Pruning
  • Cabling and bracing
  • Rigging
  • Removals
  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
