Job summary

Environmental Conservation Consulting NY, LLC is seeking an Arborist Consultant to perform tree inspections, inventories, and oversight for NYC projects. The role involves field work across New York City, reporting, and coordinating with contractors and NYC Parks.

You will prepare detailed reports, manage permits, and maintain client relationships while traveling to job sites and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

Qualifications

• ISA Certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel to NYC job sites.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Conduct tree inspections and develop detailed tree inventories.
• Evaluate tree conditions and recommend action.
• Prepare and submit arborist and inspection reports.
• Coordinate and oversee field activities and contractor crews.
• Provide on-site oversight for sidewalk excavation near trees.
• Assist in securing forestry permits with NYC Parks & Recreation.
• Perform site audits and ensure project compliance.
• Liaise with NYC Parks for permits, inspections, and correspondence.
• Maintain client relationships and professional communication.
• Support additional project needs as assigned.

Environmental Conservation Consulting NY, LLC is a leading arborist consulting firm serving New York City. We specialize in tree inspections, inventories, permitting, and on-site arborist oversight for major infrastructure and construction projects.

We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented professionals who enjoy working outdoors and want to grow in the field of urban forestry and arboriculture.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct tree inspections and develop detailed tree inventories
• Evaluate tree conditions and recommend appropriate actions
• Prepare and submit professional arborist and inspection reports
• Coordinate and oversee field activities, including contractor crews
• Provide on-site oversight for sidewalk excavation near trees
• Apply for and secure forestry permits with NYC Parks & Recreation
• Perform site audits and ensure compliance with project requirements
• Serve as a liaison with NYC Parks for permits, inspections, and correspondence
• Maintain strong client relationships and professional communication
• Support additional project needs and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or higher in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Forestry, or related field (or equivalent field experience in arboriculture)
• ISA Certification (Required)
• Ability to travel to job sites across NYC
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
