We are seeking an ISA Certified Arborist with a strong work ethic, reliable field performance, and the physical ability to handle demanding tree care work, including climbing, lifting, and sustained outdoor labor. This role is ideal for a candidate interested in growing into a supervisory or management position within arboriculture operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct tree risk assessments and follow ANSI A300/industry safety standards
- Operate and maintain tree care equipment safely and efficiently
- Work as part of a crew and support job site leadership
- Communicate clearly with team members and clients when needed
- Support training and development of junior crew members (for advancement track)
- Work in urban environments with sensitivity to site constraints and infrastructure
- Collaborate with property owners and contractors to preserve specimen trees and landscapes
- Implement tree preservation techniques on construction sites, including monitoring, best management practices, pruning, and removals
- Oversee and assist with tree planting installations and integrated pest management (IPM) practices
Requirements
- Current ISA Certified Arborist certification
- Strong physical condition, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work in all weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but optional depending on role)
- Prior experience in tree care, landscaping, or arboriculture strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in urban forestry or construction‑related tree care
- Familiarity with tree preservation, planting, and IPM techniques
- Leadership or crew lead experience
- Familiarity with equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts
- Interest in long‑term advancement into management or operations roles
