Job summary

Ironwood Power Services is seeking a Tree Trimmer Climber to join our vegetation management and storm restoration crews. You will climb and trim trees using PPE and appropriate equipment, with a $750 sign-on bonus.

You will direct crew tasks, enforce safety standards, coordinate access with customers, and maintain accurate records of work performed and hours. This full-time role requires adaptability and reliable equipment handling in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of trees, including identification and growth habits.
• Familiarity with ANSI Z133.1-2000 standards.
• Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and reading circuit maps.
• Ability to wear PPE as required.
• Ability to work long hours, including overtime and call-outs.
• Must be able to climb and operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Trims and removes trees by climbing with safety gear or from ground using saws/pruners and lowering branches.
• Directs crew tasks and assigns work according to line clearance practices.
• Enforces safe work practices and conducts safety training per company policy.
• Arranges access with customers and explains work interruptions.
• Keeps records, timesheets and reports on crew performance.
• Maintains equipment and trucks and reports repairs as needed.
• Trains new employees on proper procedures.
• Relays signals, directs traffic, and operates trucks and equipment as assigned.
