Bartlett Tree Experts on Martha's Vineyard is seeking an Arborist Climber to join a safety‑driven tree care crew. You will climb trees and assist crew leaders in performing pruning, removals and related work for residential and commercial properties.

The role emphasizes safe operation of chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and hand tools, with ongoing training and opportunities for credential advancement in a professional outdoor setting.

Qualifications

• Passion for nature and outdoors.
• At least 1 year of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground, tree climbing, and aerial lift duties as directed by the Arborist Crew Leader.
• Safely conduct arboriculture tasks: tree identification, risk assessments, pruning, removals, cabling and bracing, root collar excavations.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment; follow safety rules and company policies.

Responsibilities

As an Arborist Climber, you will play an important role in:

• Performing ground, tree climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments, as directed by the Arborist Crew Leader
• Safely performing all aspects of arboriculture, including:
  • Tree identification
  • Tree risk assessments
  • Pruning
  • Removals
  • Cabling and bracing
  • Root collar excavations
  • Properly maintaining and operating tools and equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Learning, understanding, and adhering to all safety rules and company safety policies
