Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts Charlotte Arboretum seeks motivated outdoor workers to join a team focused on safety, learning, and professional development. You will perform a variety of landscape and tree-care tasks in a 350+ acre setting, contributing to plant health and preservation.

The position offers hands-on training, a safety-first workplace, and opportunities to advance within Bartlett’s Arboretum staff, with benefits including health coverage, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training to safely perform various listed tasks.
• Adherence to all safety rules and company safety policies.
• A passion for nature and the outdoors.
• Interest in year-round manual outdoor labor in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license.
• Tree care, landscaping, forestry, or horticulture experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Mowing and turf care.
• Spreading mulch and woodchips.
• Herbicide application and weeding.
• Leaf cleanup.
• Remediation of deer damage on plants.
• Plant health care tasks.
• Tree and shrub pruning and removals.
• Other minor but important tasks.

Our team is responsible for a wide range of job tasks here at the Arboretum's 350+ acres

Mowing & turf care, spreading mulch/woodchips, herbicide & weeding, leaf cleanup, remediation of deer damage on plants, plant health care, tree and shrub pruning and removals, as well several other minor but important tasks.
