Job summary

Jensen Landscape in Milpitas, CA is seeking an Arbor Crew Lead to direct on-site crew activities, ensure safety, and deliver high-quality tree care services as part of the Monarch Tree Services family.

Responsibilities include assigning daily tasks, conducting safety briefings, supervising a 2-5 person crew, performing tree climbing and pruning, maintaining paperwork, and upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 2 years of professional tree work experience, including management of employees.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license strongly preferred; ISA Certified Tree Worker Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Direct crew activities on job sites and ensure safety and quality of work.
• Assign daily tasks to crew members and monitor compliance with job specifications.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and tailgate meetings with crew.
• Climb trees safely and use required equipment for pruning and shaping.
• Complete daily paperwork timely and accurately.
• Report equipment needs to shop and supervise loading/unloading of gear.
• Assist Arbor Foreman with training and supervising crews.
• Discuss job site observations with Arbor Foreman and adjust plans as needed.
• Trim, reshape, cable, brace, or remove trees as required by job specs.
• Ensure safe operation of all arbor and transport equipment.
