Job summary

The Unconventional is looking for a qualified Language Instructor for the Language Enabled Airman Program (LEAP). In this part-time role at Maxwell Air Force Base, you'll offer tailored language instruction to service members, enhancing their cross-cultural communication skills.

Qualified candidates must possess an Advanced Professional Proficiency in the target language and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Join us at The Unconventional to support Airmen and Guardians in developing their language capabilities and cultural knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must possess language skills equivalent to an ILR Advanced Professional Proficiency.
• Experience in target culture(s) is required.
• Must be capable of delivering instruction across proficiency levels ILR 0-3+.

Responsibilities

• Administer the eMentor curricula as provided.
• Prepare instructional aids for sessions.
• Deliver language instruction to groups and individuals.
• Provide feedback and monitor course progress.

Skills

Advanced Professional Proficiency in target language(s)

Extensive knowledge of foreign language teaching techniques

Instructional design practices

Multimedia design and delivery methods

Microsoft Office applications proficiency

Education
