Job summary

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an Arabic Linguist for work in Northern Virginia. The role involves translating Arabic materials, performing linguistic analysis, and providing cultural insights to support client teams.

The candidate will read, write, and speak Arabic fluently, review sources, and produce clear English translations while adhering to the client’s style guide. Some travel may be required, onsite in Reston, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Native or near-native Arabic; language exams completed during application.
• Minimum of three years translation support experience.
• Security clearance: U.S. citizenship with TS/SCI clearance.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office; ability to learn new tools.
• Must maintain passport and medical clearance.

Responsibilities

• Read, write, and speak Arabic at a fluent or native level and translate materials into English.
• Gist, summarize, and translate various Arabic sources into clear English with cultural nuance.
• Review websites and produce analytic reports; may populate spreadsheets.
• Summarize content for client use while following Operations and Style Guide.
• Travel as needed, including potential OCONUS assignments.
