Job summary

SOSi seeks language linguists (Farsi, Pashto, Dari) to support government requirements. Role involves translating, transcribing, and summarizing intercepts across shifts, with emphasis on accuracy and timely delivery.

Able to identify speakers, use voice systems, and compile detailed logs and summaries for the government customer. Excellent English proficiency, strong linguistic skills, and ability to work under deadline pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 4 years of combined work and educational experience.
• Fluency in Farsi, Pashto & Dari with verification of language skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and translate/interpert a variety of intercepts and media.
• Provide English summaries of foreign language content accurately.
• Prepare gists, logs, and summaries in required formats.
• Identify conversants and maintain a slang/term list for communications.
