Job summary

SOSi seeks a Russian/Ukrainian Linguist – Translation/Interpretation for work in Northern Virginia. You will integrate into a client team to provide a full range of language support, including translating, transcribing, and interpreting materials, with emphasis on accuracy and cultural nuance.

Onsite role with travel up to 20%. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, native or near-native Russian/Ukrainian ability, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• U.S. citizenship with TS/SCI clearance (poly) required.
• Minimum five years of translation experience.
• Native or near-native Russian/Ukrainian (ILR 5) required.
• Excellent English writing and speaking skills.
• Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office; ability to learn new tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Translate/interpret Russian/Ukrainian materials and provide linguistic insights.
• Process written and audio materials and provide summaries.
• Review websites and produce analytic reports.
• Summarize content while preserving nuance per customer style guide.
• Collaborate with client personnel and teams.
• Possible interpretation services during meetings.
• Travel up to 20%.
