Job summary

The University of Arizona Language Training Center (LTC) is hiring Limited Term Adjunct Instructors for short-term intensive Arabic courses. Courses are funded by government programs; the role focuses on curriculum development, DLPT/ILR understanding, and high-quality instruction.

Position is part-time with 9.6–19.6 hours/week and pay per course. Open to 3 vacancies, with a start date of 8/17/2026 and applications via provided contact.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in related field is required.
• Native or near-native fluency in Arabic is required.
• Prior experience in teaching language courses is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and instruct sessions according to approved curriculum.
• Attend pre-course meetings with Program Manager/Executive Director.
• Understand DLPT and ILR score levels.
• Develop curriculum and lesson plans with authentic reading/listening materials.
• Build and update curriculum and course materials.
• Answer student emails and communicate regularly with students.
• Provide feedback to students throughout the course.
• Submit lesson plans and teaching materials for archive.
