Job summary

NTC Language Services is seeking reliable and professional English/Arabic Educational Interpreters for part-time, as-needed employment in Eastern Suffolk County, New York. Interpreters will provide in-person interpretation services in schools, assisting students, families, and staff to ensure accurate and culturally responsive communication.

Candidates must be available for on-site assignments in Eastern Suffolk County; travel, punctuality, confidentiality, and professional conduct are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak proficiently in both English and Arabic.
• Interpret spoken communication accurately and completely between both languages.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters.
• Punctuality and reliability required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct parent-teacher conferences and CSE/CPSE meetings.
• Interpret for student evaluations and enrollments.
• Assist in student registrations and orientations.
• Support family engagement events and school workshops.
• Provide interpretation during testing and other school-based assignments.
