Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Camera IQ Engineer to support an AR/XR wearable-device program in San Jose, CA. You will own end-to-end bring-up, integration, and image-quality evaluation of camera modules on embedded platforms.

The role requires hands-on experience from initial hardware integration to stable image capture, with proficiency in C/C++, Python for test automation, and collaboration across hardware, firmware, and imaging pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in camera systems or embedded imaging.
• Hands-on experience bringing up camera modules on embedded hardware.
• Strong C/C++ development for embedded systems or driver-level work.
• Experience with camera drivers and low-level debugging.
• Hands-on experience with image-quality evaluation.
• Experience integrating IMUs, LEDs, or other sensors with cameras.
• Python for automation, data collection, or analysis.

Responsibilities

• Bring up camera modules on embedded platforms and validate image output.
• Integrate and debug modules with IMUs, LEDs, and other sensors.
• Develop and debug embedded camera software and drivers.
• Work with Qualcomm-based platforms or similar embedded camera architectures.
• Perform camera image-quality evaluation across stills, video, and use cases.
• Diagnose camera-system issues across hardware, drivers, sensor integration, and pipelines.
• Develop experiments to characterize module and system performance.
• Build scripts and tools to automate testing, data collection, evaluation, and analysis.
• Document bring-up results and image-quality findings.
