The role focuses on the design, integration, and optimization of advanced surgical navigation and visualization systems, including software- and hardware-integrated solutions for orthopedic procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
• 4+ years of experience in systems or software engineering.
• Experience with software development.
• Experience integrating software with hardware systems.
• Strong understanding of optical navigation and real-time visualization.
• Familiarity with SDLC, Git, and Agile methods.
• Experience with 3D visualization or real-time systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and support system-level architecture for surgical navigation and visualization platforms.
• Translate clinical/product requirements into system specs.
• Collaborate across software, hardware, clinical, and product teams for integration of optical navigation technologies.
• Support real-time surgical visualization and AR capabilities.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and safety of hardware/software components.
• Participate in verification/validation to align with medical device standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system-level issues across integrated environments.
• Document architecture, interfaces, and verification plans.
• Support risk management and design control processes.
• Contribute to design reviews and cross-functional discussions.
• Support lifecycle management and continuous improvement of platform architecture.
