Job summary

Nucor Rebar Fabrication Southwest in Salt Lake City is seeking a Billing Accountant to manage project invoicing, track and reconcile accounts receivable across multiple fabrication facilities.

You will prepare invoices, support month-end close, ensure accuracy, and coordinate with departments to resolve billing issues. A background in construction accounting is advantageous and safety compliance is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting is preferred.
• 3+ years of billing/accounting experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Process billing invoices on designated jobs and ensure amounts and quantities are accurate and verifiable.
• Prepare AIA and similar documents while meeting customer deadlines.
• Maintain accurate and organized job files.
• Work closely with all appropriate departments for invoice presentation and payment documents.
• Assist the customer with inquiries regarding invoicing and invoice format.
• Communicate billing issues to locations and monitor until resolution.
• Generate and maintain reports to support billing information.
• Ensure confidentiality of billing information.

Basic Job Functions:

Responsible for accurately invoicing, tracking, and reconciling project billing across multiple fabrication facilities. Performs processing, recording, and research of all accounts receivable transactions, including facilitating payments, preparing invoices and credits, applying cash, and resolving discrepancies. Supports month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and a variety of finance department operations.

• Generate and maintain required reports and statistics to support billing invoice information.
• Process job completion paperwork.
• Ensure confidentiality of billing information.
• Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
