Job summary

Superior Ambulance Service, Inc. in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a full-time Follow Up Representative for our in-office accounts receivable team. You will pursue reimbursement, handle denials and delinquent claims, and contact payers as needed to maximize cash collections.

The role requires 1–2 years in revenue cycle collections, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication. EMS experience is a plus; regular Monday–Friday in-office schedule with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in revenue cycle collections.
• EMS experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9/10 and HCPCS codes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Resolve denials/appeals within 72 hours of receipt.
• Resolve unpaid claims over 60 days from date of service.
• Review previously worked claims at least every 30 days.
• Document daily accounts/claims on Productivity Board.
• Ability to manage 64–80 accounts daily.
• Demonstrate strong office and typing skills; work independently and in a team.
