Job summary

Healthrise seeks a Denials Resolution Specialist to join our hospital revenue operations. You will review, analyze, and appeal denied or delayed claims, researching root causes to improve reimbursement and reduce delays.

Coordinate with clinical departments, apply payer rules, and document actions in the patient accounting system to support timely, accurate denials resolution in a California-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Performs daily denial resolution activities including reviewing, researching, and resolving payment delays and variances.
• Processes payments in accordance with contracts and policies to ensure timely liability resolution.
• Identifies root causes of denials and collaborates with clinical/coding teams for resolution.
• Files appeals and follows California-specific appeal timelines.
• Documents actions in the patient accounting system and responds to inquiries.
