Job summary

The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division seeks an Accounts Receivable Coordinator to manage invoicing, collections, and revenue reconciliation across multiple funds. You will ensure grant terms are met and collaborate with program and finance staff to maintain accurate receivable balances.

Responsibilities include AR maintenance in Acumatica, revenue recognition support, and audit-ready documentation in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting/Finance required; Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of accounts receivable or accounting support experience, preferably in nonprofit or multi-entity environment.
• Experience with grant billing, contract invoicing, and restricted/unrestricted funds accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and issue invoices for grants, contracts, and program services across multiple entities and funds.
• Record and apply incoming payments to appropriate accounts, programs, and entities.
• Maintain AR subledger and reconcile to general ledger.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Deposit cash and checks in a timely manner.
• Ensure accurate revenue coding to funds, cost centers, and programs.
• Process credit card transactions as authorized by donors.
• Initiate ACH transfers with supporting documentation.
