Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC seeks an A/R Collections Lead to manage all aspects of accounts receivable collections, from billing through liquidation, disputes, and analysis. You will supervise collectors, drive payer relations, and ensure compliance with contracts and regulations.

Ideal candidates have extensive AR in a hospital setting, strong communication skills, and a track record of building training programs for staff. This is a leadership role within USC’s revenue cycle team in Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required; experience substitutes for advanced degree.
• 5 years of management in hospital AR billing and follow-up.
• Strong knowledge of hospital registration, insurance billing, and AR management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to supervise, organize and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all AR collections functions including billing, rejections, follow-up, disputes and analysis.
• Identify payer issues and trends to support revenue cycle initiatives.
• Engage with payers on inventory and aging; conduct regular AR resolution meetings.
• Stay current with contracts and state/federal regulations affecting AR.
• Develop and oversee staff training; monitor productivity and quality.
• Shape workflow policies and department goals; determine staffing needs and structure.
