Job summary

The Lindner Center of Hope in Mason, OH seeks a Rep I - Specialist, Patient Acct to manage accounts receivable follow-up for government and non-government payors.

You will review denials, process refunds, file appeals, and maintain billing accounts using EPIC, Word, and Excel. Candidates should have 2+ years in medical billing and strong multi-tasking skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in medical facility and professional billing preferred.
• Knowledge of third party payers, managed care contracts, claims review, analysis and QA experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills with Word, Excel and internet navigation.
• Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families in an age-appropriate manner.

Responsibilities

• Research zero paid claims and take action for maximum reimbursement.
• Work collection follow up reports for unpaid claims 0-120+ days.
• Review managed care claims for contract compliance; recover under/overpaid claims and refunds.
• Track denials for quality improvement opportunities.
• File appeals on denied inpatient and outpatient claims.
• Maintain accounts using medical billing software; cash posting in AR systems.
• Research credits for Government and Non-Government claims for refunds.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
