Beacon Hill is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist (Cash Applications) in the Raleigh area to join the accounting team. This role focuses on applying customer payments, reconciling cash activity, and supporting AR processes in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in AR or cash applications, strong Excel and ERP experience (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite/Microsoft Dynamics), and a meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of AR or cash applications experience.
• Experience with high-volume cash receipts and payment posting.

Responsibilities

• Apply customer payments accurately and timely to accounts
• Process cash receipts from ACH, wire, lockbox, and checks
• Research unapplied cash and discrepancies
• Reconcile daily cash activity and postings
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve issues
• Maintain accurate customer records and support reconciliation
• Prepare aging and cash application reports
• Assist with month-end close related to AR and cash
• Support audits with documentation
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency
