Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team in Woodstock, GA. This full-time, on-site role focuses on posting and reconciling cash receipts, resolving unapplied payments, and supporting AR processes in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in cash application or AR, strong Excel skills, and solid accounting knowledge. We offer medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and competitive weekly pay with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
• 2+ years in cash application or accounts receivable or related role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet daily deadlines and handle high volume transactions

Responsibilities

• Post and apply incoming cash receipts to customer accounts accurately and on time
• Reconcile daily cash deposits with bank records and ledgers
• Research and resolve unapplied, misapplied, or short payments
• Communicate remittance information with customers and internal teams
• Process credits memos, refunds, and adjustments as needed
• Maintain organized records of cash transactions
• Assist with month-end close activities related to cash/AR
• Support audits with documentation and reconciliations
• Identify payment trends or recurring discrepancies for AR leadership
• Perform additional duties as assigned
