Job summary

Brailsford & Dunlavey is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our Finance team in Chicago. This hands-on role focuses on day-to-day billing, invoicing, and AR activities, with mentorship from an experienced Finance group.

You will gradually own contract and project setup in Workday, perform reporting and collections, and contribute to process improvements as you grow. The position offers hybrid work, competitive salary, and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, project accounting, or related.
• Attention to detail is essential for accurate invoices and setup.
• Ability to organize under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration with Finance and Project Operations.
• Proficiency in Excel; Workday or ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue accurate, timely client invoices in accordance with contracts.
• Manage day-to-day billing activities across a portfolio of projects.
• Research and resolve billing questions and discrepancies with Project Operations.
• Support collections, cash application, and payment research as needed.
• Maintain billing records and documentation.
• Monitor AR activity and escalate as needed.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining contracts and projects in Workday.
• Review contracts to ensure rates and terms are correctly reflected.
• Update Workday when contracts are amended or billing requirements change.
• Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and controls.
• Use Excel and financial systems for analysis and reporting.
