Job summary

Accurate Personnel LLC in Katy, TX is hiring a Staff Accountant to support the billing process for construction projects. You will issue invoice numbers, reconcile logs, monitor aging, and coordinate with field personnel to ensure accurate invoicing.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of AR experience, strong general accounting knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and ERP experience. This is a 1st shift, Monday–Friday role with a $65,000–$70,000 annual salary and medical/dental/vision benefits.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years AR experience including aging, invoicing, and collections support.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting and month-end close.
• Ability to reconcile AR subledger to GL and resolve variances.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups, large data sets).
• Hands-on experience with an ERP system.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Familiar with percentage-of-completion and reimbursable/cost-plus contracts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Issue and track invoice numbers for field personnel.
• Reconcile invoice logs across projects and units.
• Research invoicing discrepancies and cash application issues.
• Prepare cash receipt notifications to internal stakeholders.
• Support billing for percentage-of-completion and cost-plus contracts.
• Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with project teams on reporting and reconciliation.
