Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting, business administration or related field.
• 5 years of experience in accounting, finance or related field.
• Advanced skills in the use of spreadsheets and word processing.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to deliver high quality customer service to students, faculty, staff and the public.
• Experience with conflict management (i.e. students with unpaid balances).
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong familiarity with database/management information systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages functions for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Responsible for billing, cashiering, collections, financial aid disbursement and refunding operations.
• Set up tables in MNSCU ISRS and coordinate with university departments.
• Coordinate payments made from and to the University.
• Advise SMSU administration on statutory and Minnesota State guidelines and regulations regarding AR and ensures policies followed.
