Job summary

Employee Relations Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to join the accounting team in Vero Beach, FL. The role supports receivables, cash application, reconciliations, and month-end close in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and independent work style are essential. Coupa/Ariba experience is highly desirable for complex purchasing and invoicing workflows.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of accounting experience with a strong emphasis on Accounts Receivable.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
• Experience with high-volume AR transactions and customer account management.
• Coupa experience strongly preferred.
• Ariba experience is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, cash application, payment processing, and account reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate customer accounts and ensure transactions are properly recorded.
• Monitor AR aging and follow up on outstanding balances and discrepancies.
• Research and resolve customer payment issues, short pays, deductions, and account discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities, including AR reporting and reconciliations.
• Review transactions for accuracy and ensure proper application of payments.
• Work cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Sales, Procurement, and customers to resolve issues.
• Assist with improving AR processes, reporting, and internal controls.
• Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed.
• Utilize ERP and financial systems to maintain accurate accounting records.
• Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as needed.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our accounting team in a key role supporting the company’s receivables and broader accounting operations.
