Job summary

Central York School District in York, PA seeks dedicated Swim instructors to instruct, supervise, and test swim lesson participants at the high school pool, serving students and community members in a safe, engaging environment.

You will enforce facility policies, plan lessons, demonstrate progress, teach water safety, and participate in in-service trainings. A 15-year-old minimum, Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and FBI/Act 34/151 clearances are required or pursued; WSI preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer or willingness to obtain.
• WSI certification preferred.
• Must obtain FBI, Act 34 & Act 151 clearances within last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Enforce facility policies, rules, and regulations.
• Instruct students using skill progression with engaging activities.
• Teach safe water practices and monitor class safety.
• Plan lesson outlines and organize each class session.
• Communicate at student level and use motivational techniques.
• Attend in-service trainings as a job requirement.
• Complete 200 yards every 2 weeks.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Responsible for instructing, supervising, and testing all swim lesson participants according to the set standards.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Enforce all facility policies, rules, and regulations.
• Instruct students using skill progression and enjoyable learning activities. Demonstrate enthusiasm for student progress.
• Instruct students in safe water practices while in class.
• Plan lesson outlines and organize class.
• Communicate at student level and use motivational techniques.
• Attend and participate in all in-service training as a requirement of employment.
• Complete 200 yards every 2 weeks
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualificiations

• Must be at least 15 years of age
• American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer (or willing to obtain)
• Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certified preferred
• Must have obtained (or will obtain) valid FBI, Act 34 & Act 151 clearances within the last twelve (12) months.
