Job summary

City of New York is seeking Swim Instructors to organize and instruct participants of all ages in Learn to Swim programs across NYC. Positions include coaching swim teams, supervising lap swim, and leading water exercise classes in various camps citywide.

Part-time, up to 21 hours per week, with a duration of 8 to 9 months starting 10/1/2026. Hired candidates may contribute to Aquatics programming and special events within NYC Parks.

Qualifications

• Experience or training in aquatics instruction or coaching.
• Ability to teach swim to diverse ages and abilities.
• Develop engaging aquatics programs for different participant groups.

Responsibilities

• Instruct tots to seniors in Learn to Swim programs.
