Job summary

The City of O'Fallon is seeking a self-motivated Recreation Specialist to join the Aquatics team. The role oversees staff, facility operations, customer service, and administrative functions, supervising more than 100 Lifeguards and Swim Instructors alongside a full-time Pool Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid Missouri State driver013s license.
• Be able to work nights, weekends, holidays or other irregular hours as required.
• Be able to obtain a first-aid/CPR card.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff, facility operations, customer service and administrative tasks for aquatics programming.
• Hire, train, schedule, evaluate and supervise part-time aquatics staff including lifeguards and swim instructors.
• Coordinate with city departments and partners; serve as Manager on Duty to ensure smooth operations and positive experiences.
