Job summary

Oshkosh Community Young Mens Christian Assn is seeking a full-time Aquatics Specialist responsible for providing direct service support through lifeguarding and swim instruction. This role ensures a safe and high-quality aquatic environment for all participants and members.

In addition to direct service, the Aquatics Specialist will assist with administrative tasks assigned by the Aquatics Coordinator or Director. Candidates should have relevant lifeguarding certifications and a minimum of 2 years of experience in aquatic programs.

Qualifications

• Currently certified in Lifeguarding (Including Deep Water) with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuers and First Aid.
• Lifeguard Instructor certification preferred but not required.
• Certified as a YMCA Swim Instructor, and/or WSI preferred, but not required.
• Minimum experience of 2 years teaching aquatic programs for all ages and levels or lifeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct service support within the Aquatics Department through lifeguarding and swim instruction.
• Assist with administrative and office duties as assigned by the Aquatics Coordinator or Director.
• Conduct safety/supply checks of all first aid kits in the building biweekly.
