Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Parks & Recreation, or related field; plus three years of experience as a Recreation Coordinator, Programmer, or Specialist; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
• Preferred certifications: Lifeguard Instructor (Instructor Trainer); CPRO & AED Instructor; First Aid Instructor; Aquatics Facility Operator; Certified Pool Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and implementation of aquatics programs and supervision of staff at Central Aquatic Center.
• Supervise, direct, evaluate staff; handle employee concerns; conduct performance appraisals.
• Coordinate daily work activities: scheduling, staffing, and monitoring progress; provide guidance on complex situations.
• Plan and coordinate diverse recreation programs and facilities: schedule classes, leagues, events, and rentals; manage registrations.
