Job summary

The Town of Leesburg is seeking a professional to oversee the safe and effective operation of buildings, facilities and equipment with primary emphasis on the swimming pool, including providing lifesaving assistance, ensuring safety for pool patrons, and safeguarding conduct. You will maintain all records, oversee facility maintenance, and manage aquatics staff, programs and program revenue.

A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in facility management or recreation are required; Lifeguard Training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Management, Recreation and Leisure, Physical Education or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of facility management or recreation experience.
• Lifeguard Training.
• CPR for Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid Training or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Certification as Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to respond to maintenance emergencies.
• Must work major department events.
