Job summary

City of Plymouth seeks a Recreation Supervisor to oversee aquatic programs and staff on deck, provide guidance to instructors, lifeguards, and site supervisors, and handle opening/closing duties and records.

You will develop and schedule programming, respond to public inquiries, partner with schools and community groups, ensure safety and inclusivity, and maintain equipment and budgets.

Qualifications

• Must be available weekday evenings and daytime weekend hours.
• Must have supervisory experience with strong leadership qualities.
• Must be an experienced lifeguard.
• Must have current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
• Must have demonstrated skill with technology (e.g., Outlook, Office).
• Must be an experienced swim instructor.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and supervising patrons on deck; guiding instructors and lifeguard staff.
• Open/close the facility; complete records and reports.
• Make reservations for specialty groups and supervise programs.
• Provide exceptional customer service to Plymouth residents and visitors.
• Respond to public inquiries and communicate procedures clearly.
• Assist in scheduling, executing and supervising aquatic programming.
• Act as site supervisor, lifeguard, and swim instructor as needed.
• Inventory and maintain program supplies and equipment.
