Qualifications

• Two years of experience in aquatics.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard or YMCA Lifeguard Training Certificate.
• Water Safety Instructor certificate strongly preferred.
• Lifeguard Instructor certificate strongly preferred.
• Pool Operator’s Certification within 6 months of employment.
• Water Fitness Instructor Certification within 6 months of employment.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Management within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develops and evaluates aquatic programs and budgets.
• Supervises a minimum of 3 full-time and 25 part-time lifeguards and assists with hiring/disciplinary actions.
• Responds to aquatic facility emergencies and performs first aid/CPR/AED.
• Maintains required job-related certifications and safety procedures.
• Communicates with internal and external partners and completes required administrative tasks.
