Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent preferred.
• One to two years of related experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups from all social and economic backgrounds.

Essential Functions

• Supervise program activities to meet community needs and YMCA objectives.
• Recruit, hire, train, develop, schedule, and direct staff and volunteers.
• Evaluate staff performance and develop motivation strategies.
• Develop new programs and expand existing ones within the community.
• Assist in marketing and registration processes.
• Review and process scholarship applications.
• Build collaborative relationships with community organizations.
• Manage program budgets to meet fiscal goals.
• Coordinate facility use for activities and events.
• Support YMCA fundraising and special events.
• Model relationship-building skills in all interactions.
• Respond promptly to member and community inquiries and complaints.
• Assist with Program Committee meetings as needed.
• Track and evaluate program participation and effectiveness.
• Oversee daily pool operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of chemical levels, maintenance, and staff certifications.
• Ensure proper pool maintenance and scheduling.
• Conduct lifeguard, swim instruction, First Aid, and CPR trainings.
• Create and schedule swim classes, water fitness, and team practices/meets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
