Job summary

CITY OF UPPER ARLINGTON is seeking a part-time Aquatics Supervisor to support the Bob Crane Community Center pool and related programs. You will help oversee day-to-day operations, ensure safety and proper pool chemistry, and supervise staff and programming.

The role requires experience in aquatics, a high school diploma or GED, and may prefer a bachelor’s degree. The position operates within building hours, with shifts starting as early as 5:00am and ending around 10:15pm, seven days a week.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of lifeguard/assistant manager/manager experience preferred.
  • Aquatics or recreational activities experience desirable.
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operation and maintenance of pool facility and equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain pool chemistry as required by state health code.
  • Supervise staff and make recommendations regarding employment to Aquatics Coordinator/Manager.
  • Oversee swim lessons and program activities.
  • Ensure safety rules and policies for staff and patrons are followed.
  • Prepare and submit records on operations, water testing, equipment inspections, and incidents.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures of the facility.
