Job summary

Shepherdsville Aquatic Center is seeking an Aquatics Technician to assist with indoor and outdoor pool operations, maintain chemical balances, and support the team in daily tasks. You will help ensure a clean, safe, and compliant facility that serves the community and swim programs.

The role requires a hands-on, mechanically inclined individual with customer service experience and leadership potential, able to work full-time at our Shepherdsville, KY location.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in aquatics facility operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership abilities and team-oriented mindset.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatics Facility Operator (AFO) certification, or earned within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to preventive maintenance and SOP standards for pools and equipment.
• Maintain daily pool chemical checks and log readings.
• Assist with pool facility cleanliness and deck maintenance.
• Support staff training as qualified and assign duties as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Health Department standards and safety procedures.
• Aid General Manager and team with various duties as assigned.
