Job summary

The City of Norfolk is seeking an Aquatics Supervisor to manage daily aquatic operations, develop and evaluate programs, and supervise lifeguard staff. You will oversee budgets, reports, water chemistry testing, and safety protocols to ensure a safe, welcoming facility.

Responsibilities include emergency response, first aid/CPR/AED, maintaining American Red Cross certifications, coordinating with partners, and completing required administrative tasks and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Parks and Recreation, Facility Management, Public Safety, Aquatics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Reads and prepares written reports, memos, and related information.
• Performs water chemistry tests and manages aquatic programs and budgets.
• Supervises lifeguards and oversees hiring, discipline, and workload.
• Performs first aid and CPR/AED following American Red Cross standards.
• Maintains required certifications and coordinates with internal and external partners.
